Monty Python's Spamalot

Monty Python's Spamalot at Saenger Theatre

Why see Monty Python's Spamalot?

The Show That Goes Like This

Look who's back! After a resplendent revival on Broadway with director and choreographer Josh Rhodes at the helm, Monty Python's Spamalot is taking to the road once more! The Tony-nominated production is based on the famed comedy troupe's 1975 film 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail', and follows King Arthur and his rag-tag bunch of knights as they set out on the quest of a lifetime. A coconut-clacking good time, don't miss the much-anticipated return of this modern Broadway classic!

What Is The Story?

Irreverent, surreal, and ridiculous in only the way Monty Python can be, Arthur's adventure sees him recruiting a bunch of Knights and taking on many challenges, including sating a murderous rabbit, pleasing mysterious knights pre-occupied with shrubberies, and battling an adversary more interested in winning than the location of his limbs, and much more! Add some hilarious songs to the mixture and you've got yourself a musical because these knights of the round table will dance whenever they're able!

Critic's review

It asks very little of you over the course of 2 hours, 20 minutes, and sends you on your way with a smile — and when it comes to musical comedy, that’s perfectly delightful.

Hilarious Fun - Loved it!

Had a magical evening watching Spamalot! Cast was fantastic, the show quick paced and witty, with every number leaving you giggling and laughing. Managed to capture the essence of the movie, but weaved in new material to keep things fresh. Got to watch it with 3 generations of family, all loved it, and honestly one of the most enjoyable experiences I have had in a long time - Highly Recommend!!!!! Thank you Spamalot team and the Tobin center for a wonderful night!! ... Read more

Absolutely joyful!

I saw the original Broadway production, with all of the original cast members, and I can say with out a doubt in my mind that this cast out shines the original BY FAR! Why? Joy. You can see the joy of the experience in the eyes of everyone on stage. They genuinely want to share this experience. They make you laugh, because they truly love being up there - something that is missing from many vetted actors on Broadway. Arthur and his four knights are especially funny! It's amazing how truthful they can make the absurd! Special commendation has to go to Adam Grabau (Lancelot), who is absolutely unrecognizable as each of his different characters - and gives one of the funniest performances I've ever seen in my life!!! Bravo!!! Thank you for such an amazing night!!! ... Read more
